Looking for sports and social activities in Suzhou

Hi everyone,

I'm originally from the UK - this is my first experience living abroad. I've been in Suzhou about 2 weeks now and am looking for some thing to do to meet people away from work!

Can anyone recommend any sports clubs? At home I swim and row, so water sports would be ideal, but I'm open to suggestions! I am a total beginner at Chinese which might be a barrier but I'm trying to learn.
