Newbie

Hi all

New to Thailand (only 6 weeks)...never been to Thailand.

Originally from Johannesburg in South Africa.

I am an English teacher in a small town called Bang Mun Nak, only since 1 November 2019.

Looking to build up some contacts and friends as it gets a bit quiet here at times  :):)

Looking forward to hear from you.

Hello from South Africa, we are in the early stages of looking to buy a business in Koh Samui, how do you find life there?

Hi
I have only been in Thailand for 2 months, going in for my third.

It is not moonshine and roses, it is very tough, but if you persevere it does get better.

It is incredibly hot and at some places humid.

The people are very "friendly" but I feel deep inside them they still do not know how to treat us foreigners, but they are really very helpful.

The public transport is really amazing, compared to South Africa, although besides for the BTS train system in Bangkok....things in Thailand have their own time...either late or early and things can change within a flash.

I am not sure about running or owning your own business in Thailand, you will have to ask someone else, but what I do know is you have to employ minimum 10 Thai's, depending on the size of the business..

Good luck
