Health Insurance

Hello  We are planning to move to The Netherlands next year. My query is if my son who has type 1 diabetes isn't working how will he be able to access the insulin etc that he needs and gets free of charge at the moment.

Hello,

The products necessary for the health of your child will be provided without difficulty. There may be just a name change in the product.

But on the other hand, you must be logical in your approach. You change your social security system and in addition there is the BREXIT ...

Hope that all at once, everything is provided for free is utopian. Because each country has its selection criteria. You will have to go through a whole process of regularization that will take some time.

Therefore, in my opinion, you will have to advance the money to be reimbursed later. So see with your current medical coverage the procedure to follow to be reimbursed for insulin purchase abroad.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Complicated and Brexit will impact this; how old is your son and what nationality does he have?
