Moving to Seoul in October...

Hi all!

So I'm still in the 'gathering of information phase', but my biggest concern about moving to Korea to teach is the meeting people part. Any tips for making friends? I also have concerns about the fact that I'm a female who will be traveling alone, any advice for me as to which part of the city I should be looking to live in? I will be applying for jobs in Hagwon and I'm aware that they provide accommodation, but I would like an area of the region to focus on when applying.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I'm looking to do some networking before I get there and maybe even make some friends so that I will perhaps have some friendly faces to look forward to when I get there! :D

Hey Mairi!

Hi Mhari,

I am unsure if you still post on here, I notice your Scottish, I am also:)
The best tip I can give to you about living here is just to get yourself out there, dont be shy, easier said than done I know, once you meet one or two people you will start to meet more people.
I live in Hannam, picked here as most expats seem to live here. Good luck with the move and my email is on here if you need anything x
