Employer not giving salary

Hi,

I m a Dr, joined private sector job a month ago. My employer has asked me not to work n that he will not be paying me.

I want to work but he's not allowing me to do so...then what is my fault that I should not get my salary?

My contract clearly says that he has to deposit salary in my bank account from first to 7th of each month.
Shall I complain in MOM against him?

This is a worrying but sadly not an unusual situation. Firstly, depending on your visa, you might not be permitted to join the private sector. Do check the legalities of this.
If you learn that you are indeed permitted then I would suggest first asking your employer if you can schedule a meeting. Keep your cool. If that yields no results then ask the MoM what steps you can take and if they can help.
I'd also caution against being too direct about blame or show any signs of irritation / anger as this may result in your contract being cancelled and at the very worst your employer accusing you of defame.
