Vanuatu citizenship

From the many articles I've read of late, the easy answer is CASH.
I gather, but am open to correction, it costs US$150,000 + fees (Agent?) for a single application.
I understand their government are making a a small fortune from the business so they're very keen, but I'm also told (If newspaper reports are worth believing) the local population is not exactly happy because they never see a bean and many live in terrible poverty.

Hi Fred, yes I have seen that, buying straight into citizenship, I was hoping to get in via the investment route as we would need income/month to satisfy  residential criteria. But are the investments on offer a viable income option?
