Moving to Singapore

Your specialisation and skills must be in demand and locals are not able to fulfill the demand. With waitress or receptionist, chances are very unlikely that a company needs a foreigner (other than Chinese, Malay and Indians who occupies 99% of these jobs here). So, an African chances are very slim. Even you get hired by an employer, then getting work pass is another big challenge.

If you are coming with your fiancée then be prepared to know that this is one of costliest city in the world. You should carry enough money (cash and your international debit card & credit card) or else you will be running out of your money in few days. You must have an accommodation address and return ticket (should be within 30 days) with you or else at immigration checkpoint you will be denied to enter Singapore and will be deported back to your country. What kinda jobs are available for foriegners especially Africans ...

I would guess that apart from needing lots of savings to get you by, that unless you are highly educated with valuable experience that finding a job could be rather difficult. What fields are you experienced in?

Secretarial duties
Supervisor job
Team leader
