Looking to return to San Ignacio after five weeks this summer at Christmas, as expected I see flights to Belize are much more expensive. We generally fly from Vancouver to a southern hub ... Dallas, Atlanta ... no problem there. It's from there to Belize, the cost will almost double the summer rate. Any suggestions?

2 months ago I bought one way tickets, for mid December from DAL to BZE for $171 USD on Southwest. Seat inventory is like any other comodity, it's selling price varies with demand.
