Entering Colombia with expired work visa

Hello everyone

I have a Type V Visa (work visa) for Colombia. The visa expires on December 3, 2019. However, I left Colombia on December 23, 2018 (due to personal reasons I have come back to my homeland of the UK) and I have not returned to Colombia since. So, I think the visa has expired because I have been out of the country for more than 6 months.

However, I plan to return to Colombia in October to stay for 2 weeks on vacation. My question is, will I enter Colombia with a 90-day normal tourist visa? No problem re-entering the country? My nationality is British.

Thank you
Billy

Dear Billy,

I see that you have posted about this matter on at least two Expat forums.

The truth is you can't count on laymen Expats to give you a reliable answer based on the information you are posting.

One classic reply you got at expat-------.com was full of "I think" .. "I doubt"... "you may be able to..."

Only immigration officials or a Colombian attorney who knows how such matters are handled in a specific jurisdiction could possibly advise you properly.
