Hi im from philippines working here in oman as a fitness instructor, 2 years contract but i can't finish my contract because im pregnant. But i already pass the probitionry period (6months) im 7 months already in the company. The company ask me to pay everything like the visa, ticket, and labourcard. And also ask me to pay the placement fee at a time. I dont know what to do.. i really dont want to resign but the situation ask me to stop my work because its really dangerous to my baby and for me. Where can i go and ask about this matter. And its really in the law of oman to pay the company if i dont finish the contract even i already finish my probitionary period. And im pregnant?

Hi,

As per my knowledge if it's in your contract that I'm afraid you'll have to pay it. If it's not and you are being demanded by your employer, you can either complain in the Ministry or your Embassy.
