I have been offered employment with a Multi National Company which is located in Jubail. I am expected to commence employment in October 2011.

For starters, I am not a Muslim. I have a girlfriend who lives in Hong Kong but frequently stays with me in Malaysia. She is a non-Muslim too. We plan to get married in a couple of years. She is keen on coming along and staying with me in Jubail and/or any other neighboring areas.

Can someone please advice whether girlfriend's are allowed to stay in the same house/apartment with their boyfriends? If yes, what is the usual procedure to bring her into Saudi Arabia.

Any form of feedback in respect of the above shall be highly appreciated.

you simply cannot. not unless you two are legally a married couple.

Well there is a way. get her a job as well in Jubail. in another visa. staying together is not going to be possible, unless u both get the same compound or something like that. but atleast she can be nearby.

cheers!

its not that easy for single women to get a job RG unless she is a qualified nurse

@shahab: Come on mate, Lets not give the poor guy all the negativity... Something positive. give him hope.. Hope is what we live on right? and Nurse/doctor/teacher is the limited no. of opportunities that a dingle female might be able to avail for in Jubail. But then something is better than nothing..

@costus: All the best dude!

well, i too do not believe in negative thoughts... but i prefer facts to hopes

Guys,

Thank you for the feedback. I guess the only way for us to be together during my tenure over there is if we get married. I will just have to the needful.

Thank you all.

Regards.

costusmorum99.. or just get a married certificate.. you just need documentary proof that you are married..

Thanks Kamiii. Will do the needful.

My friend had a similar problem, if you intend to get married get your marriage certificate before hand doing it later becomes a big headache. The other bonuses are that companies will provide you with better accommodations if you are married and more perks, Saudi Arabia is more like a family oriented society they really appreciate people moving in with family for what i gathered.
good luck on your job.
