Hello all,
Since Jakarta is so prone to earthquakes, I would like to understand - Are the high rises in Jakarta seismic protected till certain extent/level? If yes - how to get this info.
High rises in Jakarta can they withstand tremor?

No they are not. Most of our embassy staff prefer to live in bungalows rather than high rise buildings. The high rise buildings are just concrete and rebar and the concrete is only up to normal standard if you are lucky. Bungalows are what we mostly recommend to all our newbies that get located here.
