Wajong

:) good day everyone!
i have a question about wajong... my partner has a wajong with 75%... what are the chances that we get a yes from ind... i am really concern about this. thank u people...

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I've answered ap111's question via private message, but for the benefit of all, in general terms:

Wajong is an Invalidity benefit; there are currently 3 different kinds depending on when the claimant first claimed Wajong.

The IND website does say that income from "incapacitated benefit (benefit for being unfit for work);" does qualify as an independent income, so on the face of it, my answer would be yes, it would qualify; the question is, is it enough income to qualify.  To be deemed as being "enough", it must at least equal the Dutch minimum wage, which is currently 1,615.80 EUR p/month, so if the Wajong payment is that or above it, then yes it is enough to enable the applicant to sponsor you.

Hope this helps.
