Proximity of school, work, and home

Hi,

We are moving to Shanghai this summer from the States. Schools are our priorty, then work in regards to proximty to home.
Work will be in Hongqiao
School-we are hoping Qingpu (Wiss)

Does it sound likely that we can take the metro to work from Qingpu or is driving necessary?

How long would you say the commute is?

We are a family of four, how would you describe Qing pu? Is it a common expat community? Is it "just like home", or will we be able to take in the local culture as well? I would like a little of both if possible.

Do you have any other school suggestions?

Hi,

Let me answer your question,

1. take metro is Ok and cheap from Qingpu to Hongqiao, but in rushtime, it will make you mad. too crowded.

2. Qingpu is called "shanghai's country", it's also rural district. Hongqiao is Ok lots of foreigner... chaos
