My friend is selected as a specialist doctor for one region in MOH Saudi Arabia , he has arrived in the kingdom but his duty has not started and he wants to take transfer to another region for personal reasons.
In this situation should he insist the local mudiriya for transfer even before joining and risk spoiling his name coz i dont think they allow region to region transfer?
OR is it better for him to join first and try for transfer later and if they dont agree should he complete the 1 year contract go on exit and come to the new region.
(Provided that the new region is ready hire him)
Which one is the feasible option?

I suggest you find out first if your contract can be transferred first then if the new company recruited you, want you to accept the new offer, you can accept based on the findings from the first contract if not continue your contract until you finish or you have an option after your probation to continue or exit then you can be released without problems. then you can join the new company if they are ready for you.

The contract is not transferable from that region. So the better option is to finish the contract and then leave on exit so as to come to the new region on a fresh visa which begs the question that is there any rule in MOH Saudi Arabia that a doctor who exits after formally finishing the contract can not re enter the country for 2 years or something?
