I have just arrived in Bahrain to set up a new education business and my wife will be joining me at the end of the summer.
We wish to join the British Club but are in a bit of a 'Catch 22' situation. We need a proposer and a seconder for our application but don't know anyone yet. Any suggestions as to how we overcome this situation?

That's the thing with clubs; it is a hassle. I am not sure about how accommodating British club is but if they are not, you will have to find the people to sign off. Try asking around your work place or any people that you may know. Try to attend networking events or even social nights at the British club (if they allow non members).
