I am shipping many boxes of personal items from Singapore to Cairo. Was told custom clearance is at Alexandria port.
Can anyone please share your experiences of custom clearance for freight boxes at Alexandria port?
Do you need to be present for the inspection and clearance? Or to pay the customs and duties taxes?
Do they contact you with an appointment date and time to be there? How many days notice or days grace to be there?
What is the usual procedure for customs clearance and to pay the customs and duties taxes?
How many % do they tax?
Do they charge inspection fees? How much is inspection fee?
