American expat with questions

Hi,

New to Malaysia, just wondering - is there a better local music streaming service than Spotify?
Also is it cheaper to cancel my US Spotify account and start one with my KL location?  It looks like it's a different pricing plan.

Same question for Netflix.  :)

thanks!

I don't know about Spotify. Many people here use it.

Netflix - not a subscriber but I've picked up that the content in Malaysia is very restricted compared with USA. Many people use a VPN to get around geo-blocking and access USA Netflix. You will find these matters discussed a lot on Lowyat forum, along with ways to get Netflix on the cheap that are of dubious legality.

I also have Spotify, it costs RM14.90 ($3.55), and it seems worth it. I had a VPN and US Netflix for a while, but ended up not watching it much. The local Netflix, along with the local HBO and other premium movie channels are censored that I ended up watching.  As a result I don't watch much TV, tend to find enough to do without it.
