Hello -

I have my travel and joining planned for May 26th and May 27th respectively.

I am yet to apply for work visa Type D.

I will get married by April 25th. Wanted to check, Would it be wise to apply for my visa right away and later apply for dependent visa (prior to May 26th so that we can travel together)

or

Wait until marriage and then apply for Visa application together.

Questions is in the view of how much time the dependent visa might take if applied separately and not at once with the work visa. (Provided I am yet to travel)

Hi,

I would suggest you to visit VFS office and get the suggestion on this. You definitely need couple of documents to apply for VISA(sometime getting this documents take time). Please refer the list of requirement documents in below link

Hi,

My suggestions - 'Wait until marriage and then apply for Visa application together.'.

Dependent Visa is processed faster when you apply together. IN the mean time you can apply for the Work permit and your would be spouse can start preparing the other relevant documents(expect the Marriage certificate).
