Reclaiming tax in Belgium? HELP?!

Hi,

I'm British, I've been living and working in Belgium since January 2018 as a full time employee and resident.

However, in 2017 I did 2 months work here at a federal institution.

I paid tax in Belgium on my earnings in that time. But I want to claim it back so I can declare all my income in the UK and file my tax return there.

Is this possible?

I have been on the phone with the Belgian Tax authorities 7 times now, and each time I either get a dead end and an answering machine or someone who tells me something wild and contradictory.

Any help would be very welcome!

Hi Rick,

It will dépend of your registration date as full résident.

And concerning your call to tax authorities, English is not an official belgian language...
