Campinas - Schools, where to live and general information

Hello everyone.
Campinas is looking likely as our next destination so I'm looking to get as much information as possible on:-

a) British (preferred) schools or American schools for 7 & 9 year olds
b) Best areas to live for expats
c) Driving / transport
d) General things impressions of the city (safety, night life, do's & don'ts)

I'm British, my wife is Czech and we have lived in Germany, China, Czech and USA (so not our first move, but always apprehensive and looking for local experience / guidance to get us "up to speed")

Thanks

John

The best in Campinas for your kids is Escola Americana de Campinas

The really famous, most expensive and elitist school for kids is in the city of São Paulo.
That could run you R$8,000 per month and a yearly fee of R$6,000 at the school called Avenues. It´s headquartered in New York, USA. They´re trying to expand to London and China.

Thanks for the info. We have decided on Alphaville and EAC as the school.
