I am currently job seeking and would like to relocate to Oman for the right role. Do I stand more chance of securing a job if I come to Oman and visit the agencies direct or am I wasting my time. My background is in Customer Service/Call Center Management and I have a wide range of skills including a background in logistics, debt management, key account management and management of contracts.

Hi christhorley129,

To land a job, it is any day better to present yourself in person, than on paper.

However, there is still an element of risk involved. Be warned that the job market now is not as open as it once was.

Meeting the employer directly would make it easy for both the parties involved to evaluate each other.

If you can get into some conversation with a few shortlisted companies before actually arriving would make your visit that much more worthwhile.
