Hi my name is Mark

I am currently based in Birmingham, in England.

I am working on a recruitment project and I could really do with some assistance in gaining some knowledge about Goa, in terms of doing business and also the people of Goa.

Thank you for your reply Kristila.

We are looking into the feasibility of a training academy for the Casino industry.

We have guaranteed vacancies in the U.K. for applicants that could pass the training program.
However I am trying to establish whether there would be suitable applicants, or at all any interest from suitable candidate for a new career in the U.K?

Number one criteria is the requirement to hold a Portuguese passport.......

Nothing can be guaranteed because of UK rules. Getting a suitable work permit could be very hard work as the UK government is concerned about the terrible unemployment situation.

Why a Portuguese passport at a time when Brexit makes that potentially difficult?

Many thanks for your feedback.

We are very aware of the current Brexit situation the U.K. are dealing with. As of last night we are still no clearer to a direction the U.K. will take with it's relationship with the EU.

That is why we are looking into feasibility option now, not 12/18 months ago. The waters will become clearer in the coming months ahead.

We would not take things further forward until we know exactly what our future employment laws/rights of EU workers will be.

Hence why Portuguese passport holders living in Goa was of particular interest.
I am on here to seek advice so please advise....

Is it not correct that a Portuguese passport holder is free to circulate within the EU, and in doing so does not require a working permit to enter employment in a EU country?

Whether this is the U.K. currently, or maybe even where we have alternative clients in Spain, France or Malta?

Are there any statistics available that show how many Portuguese passport holder there are in relevant areas such as Goa?
