Dear Friends:
My name is Vitthal Sawant. I am planning to move from USA to Muscat for an expat assignment. Few questions:
1. Does electronic equipment from USA would work in Oman?
2. What is cost of furniture and bedding items in Muscat compared to USA. I am thinking whether I should buy some stuffs like sofa, dining table, etc from USA and get to Muscat, as company is paying for the transporation?

Hi. If company is paying for your logistics then is fine to move with all the things you need. Well i don't think the electronics from US normally work effectively here as regards the power voltage difference

In Oman the standard voltage is 240 V and the frequency is 50 Hz.
