Pregnant woman being terminated

I have a question for a friend of mine..She is pregnant right now and her company terminate her/ didnt renew her contract..the company said that due to plans of the management they are on laying off of staff..so she was included..my question is does she have a fight for this? because shes having a doubt that they didnt renew her contract because of maternity benefits..or anything..

If the contract was completed and then not renewed or terminated with due compensation..... And she is an expat, then the due process was followed and she has no claim.  She can't prove the reason was maternity.  It seems to be standard redundancy. But if they lay her off citing redundancy and then fill the exact same position - then she can create some problems for them.
