Is there any recycling and solid waste management in Cairo that accepts volunteers?

You might want to check Facebook for a posting titled: "Women in Egypt Turn Trash Into Treasure"

There is a place near Cairo called something like "Garbage City" which, to my knowledge, is probably the ONLY recycling effort of any significance in Egypt. Sadly, Egypt is an ecological disaster. I would love to see some / any efforts in recycling.
