5 Year Multiple Visa

Hi,

My daughter arrived Bahrain in Oct 2018 and was issued a 90 day multiple entry visa and allowed to stay up to 30 days at a time.

During her stay in Oct she was issued a 5 year multiple visa that now allows her to stay up to 90 days at a time.

Question is when does she have to depart Bahrain?

When she arrived in Oct 2018 the receipt issued by airport immigration states she has to depart by end of Nov 2018. As the 5 year multiple visa has been issued does she have to depart before the end of Nov or can she now stay up to 90 days based on her first entry in Oct.

Thanks

Raj

This is irrespective of visa.  It is determined by entry.  From each physical entry into Bahrain, you can stay 90 days.

Thanks for the reply.

So even though she entered on a 30 days visa which got converted into a 5 year multiple she can stay up to 90 days based on the first entry in Oct?

Also are there any penalties in Bahrain if your over stay your visa?

Thanks

Raj

It depends.  Sometimes, when they issue the new visa, the system links the existing entry to the new visa and there is no issue.  Other times, it is an issue.  To be on the safe side, just have her exit to Saudi and re-enter.   And yes, there are penalties.
