Any ideas? I've looked in serveral Vinmarts, kitchen stores, etc for a can opener. The only I've found is in Annam's for 1.8 million!

All supermarkets such as Co-Op, EMart, Lotte, Big C, Metro, etc. carry can opener. (Vinmart is more of a convenience store, not a supermarket.)
If you can manage some Vietnamese, you can also find it in all general stores (or miscellaneous stalls) at every neighbourhood market.
Can opener in Vietnamese is đồ khui hộp or đồ mở hộp. Just copy either word and show to any salesperson.
