Spammers used to be a massive problem so should earn the right to use the PM system once they've offended.
You'll find a full thread in the link I've given that explains the lot, and you might like to note the lack of posts the moaners actually make on the forums.
They come to spam for a variety of reasons, some with 'fantastic business deals' that are usually scams or just rubbish, others touting for money, some just sex pests stalking ladies by PM.

None are welcome hare.
