Regarding visa

Hi,

I have been staying in Muscat on employer sponsorship visa for almost 4 years. I have resigned and soon will be exiting this country. I have a query regarding the visa rule.

I want to be in Dubai on visit visa. I have the tickets and visa done already. One of my colleague told me that whatsoever be the purpose to visit Dubai, I can't do it from Oman on the day of exit after exit stamps have been put on the passport. After exit I have to go back first to my home country and then I have to apply visit visa for Dubai from there. Please send in a reply as I am in a dilemma and want to act accordingly.
