Contacts for sustainable forestry sources

Hello,
I have recently been given a project to source white spruce or pine, in large amounts, for export on a monthly basis. I am looking for contacts, either with NGOs or development organizations with community ties that practice sustainable forestry.  Does anyone have a contact for this? I would like for this project to benefit the communities directly rather than go through a middle man.
