I think the Opera House and Philharmonic Hall are very good places during the season. There are some very good concerts in schools and houses of culture in outlying districts if you have contacts 'in the know'.

Of course, the Zoopark is the finest in all Russia and very popular. They have the only cross between a tiger ad a lion in the world, and many interesting animals.

Yes, I agree that The Opera House is very good. All their opera and ballet performances that I've seen are excellent.
