DRUNKENNESS

Article 536

1. Any person who is found in an obvious state of drunkenness on the public road shall be punished by a maximum fine.

2. If during the commission of the misdemeanor one year has not yet elapsed since an earlier conviction of the offender on account of a similar misdemeanor, or the one described in Article 492, has become final, instead of the fine, may be imposed a maximum light imprisonment of three days.

3. On a second repetition within a year after the first conviction on account of a repetition has become final, shall be imposed a maximum light imprisonment of two weeks.

4. On third or following repetitions committed each time within a year after the last conviction on account of a second or following repetition has become final, shall be imposed a maximum light imprisonment of three months.

Article 492 stated that:

1. Any person who, while being in a state of drunkenness, either in public obstructs the traffic or disturbs the public order, or threatens the security of another person, or performs an act whereby, for the prevention of danger of life or health of third parties, special caution or precaution are required, shall he punished by a maximum light imprisonment of six days.

2. If during the commission on said misdemeanor one year has not yet elapsed, since an earlier conviction of the person found guilty on account of a similar misdemeanor or the misdemeanor described m Article 536 has become final, he shall be punished by a maximum light imprisonment of two weeks.

If you use an international driving license from your home country you also run the risk of receiving punishment back home also on your main home license (not all countries do this and not sure if Indonesia is part of this)
