Hi all,

Laura's husband here. Not to fit gender stereotypes to much but I have a question about building materials!

I have been trying to find somewhere that sells real plywood, decent grade birch preferably. The only thing I have found is 20mm sheets of construction ply, which is of terrible grade and has a black coating with "plywood" imprinted all over, and then everywhere else only seems to sell chipboard.

If anyone has any ideas much appreciated.

You could have a look at JAF and see if they produce what you want, they are a large company that supplies wood > https://www.jaf-bulgaria.com/ (sorry the site is not in English)

Hi,

you can try Bauhaus. From their site it looks like they have exactly what you need and not construction ply - https://bauhaus.bg/shperplat-breza-1525x1525mm). They also provide delivery and can cut it into size, if needed.

You can also try the wood shops on the ring road, I have bought planks from there, but not sure whether they have plywood.
