Hi guys just wanting to know how much I could rent out my 3 bed room house to tourists? that we are planning to build at La Gaulette? It will be in the new estate. We want to target wind or kite surfers. Any body already doing it? many thanks Graham

I am sure this question has been asked before. As far as I recall this would be classed as a business and would require relevant govt approvals and licences.
The estate may have rules against this too.

Stumpy, I've done a bit of research and they are saying that the property needs to have a certification stating that the property complies with the standards required by the Mauritian Tourism Authority. Not too bad just need to comply with the check list. Id assume the government would want their taxes as well!
