Processing Time for Finace Visa

Hello Everyone,

I have applied for fiance visa on 29th May 2018. I received an email from UDI on 9th June 2018 saying that they have received my application. As per UDI website the current processing time is 16 weeks which is too long.

Does it really take that long. Can I follow up with UDI after a month to get the status of the application.

My finace is also from India and is currently in Norway based on Skilled Worked Permit.

Is there a particular reason you must come earlier and require a faster response? You can write and request sooner processing time if the reason is compelling.

But, we are coming up on July which is when much of Norway is on vacation so I wouldn't expect an answer in the next weeks if I were you.
