Passport/Citizenship

Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen, born to Greek parents and would like to apply to get my Greek passport.
A friend of mine did so, but told me she just has a Greek passport and she's not a citizen.
Do i need to become a citizen of Greece first?
Or can you get a passport without citizenship?

Thanks,
Emanuel

Welcome to the forum.

As you have Greek parents you can apply for citizenship / passport.
Perhaps check out and contact the Greek Embassy in Canada.

An online search will give you some information too. As far as I found citizenship and passport would be necessary as you are Canadian. There is dual citizenship between Greece and Canada.

If you go to...Greek Citizenship-Greek Passports,The Greek Law Firm of John Tripidakis&Associates...Inheritance,Estates and Real Estate....on line you you see some information on this subject.
