Hi all, i was wondering whether the counting of 182 days for tax resident status starts from the data of arrival or date of joining the company (after obtaining work permit).

Hi,
Its the day you arrive in Malaysia not the day of Joining. Maximum 14days relaxation for exit Malaysia is allowed. IT officer will see your passport entry and exit stamps to count days.
