Best season to move to New Zealand

Many expats choose to move to New Zealand at a specific time of the year, and we invite you to share some tips about the best seasons to move to the country.

What is the best season/time of the year to move to New Zealand, and why?

How do rent prices fluctuate based on the different seasons?

Is there a change in the job market depending on the seasons, such as job availability?

Are there any seasonal festivals or cultural events that would allow you to learn about the country?

What are the times of year to avoid for expatriation to New Zealand?

During which season did you move? How did it go?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Hi Priscilla,
Generally, Feb/Mar is the best time to move to New Zealand, the weather is still nice and the job market starts to pick up after New Year break and school holidays. Similar to other markets, Dec/ Jan are not the best time to look for a job, although the weather is usually lovely during these months, the job market is slow.
With universities starting in Feb, the flats in the city centre would be in high demand.

Hope above helps.

Best Regards,
