Hi All, i am working in Malaysia for a year with work permit. My wife, who is a dependent is searching jobs here, what are the chances that she will get a job here and if she gets a job here will that company will convert her visa from dependent to work permit visa?

It depends what are her skills and experience. The employer would apply for an EP in the normal way and if successful the DP would be cancelled before proceeding. If the job could be done by a Malaysian, then foreigners would not be approved for an EP
