Taking an external hard drive through customs?

When I move to Bahrain, I would like to take an external hard drive with my movies and tv shows - around 3TB. Will this be checked by customs? would it take forever for them to look through it? What if I have shows like "Game of Thrones" on there? would that get me in trouble? thanks

They don't bother to check the external drive. On the hundreds of trips I have done through BAH with an external drive, never once I have been stopped or asked to show the contents.

However, if you arouse suspicion for some other reason, it can happen. But the chances are very remote.
