You could opt for sky satellite (sky.com) for English based channels I read it is available in Germany as well.

There are lots of English programs available in Germany. The first question that you have to answer is what kind of TV reception do you have. You can have either Cable, Sat., IP TV or DVB-T. All them except DVB-T will have a monthly fee.

1. Cable- Since you are in Dresden, you have the option of Kabel Deutschland. You can order TNT Serie, Fox Deutschland and many others. You can also order Sky Deutschland. It costs extra but you can watch many movies and TV Shows in English.

2. Sat. - Sky Deutschland is possible via sat.

3. IPTV - You can combine your Internet with TV. If you order Alice, Telecom or Vodafone, you can also get lots of English TV programs for a monthly fee.

4. DVB-T - This service has no monthly fees, but you can only get CNN and BBC World news.
