Are 6.000 HRK enough to live in Croatia?

... and rent a small apartment for 1 person in cities like Zagreb or Split? Thanks

Yes I did but I prefer to get an advice from people living there. Thanks

I've been living in Split for the past year now and used to live in the SF Bay Area; while not nearly as expensive as California prices here never seem to shock me.

Rents for foreigners hover at an average of 550-650€ in Split for 60–70 m2 if you're fortunate enough to find a long-term rental. (I think it's different for students, though.) Add an extra $200 USD for utilities, cable, and cell phone. A manicure/pedicure costs between $45-50 USD, a haircut and highlights between $40-60 USD, bus tickets are 11 kuna (about $2 USD). A mixed drink on the Riva is an average 70 kuna and prices overall have been raising consistently since 2015.
