Cheap, lots of fun and you meet new people. It's in Hato Rey, but it's well-connected by train and bus.
For just one lesson, head over to Nuyorican Cafe in OSJ on a Wednesday around 9.

Salsa is everywhere but if you are looking for classes see the above.

Thanks ReyTango,
several folks at our conference mentioned the Coliseum but I haven't found it... should've asked then.
Mike

Mike, I Don't know anything about the place, not in the island yet.

I have this regular account as advisor and ReyTango that I use for moderation in case you are wondering.

I believe they are talking about https://www.coliseodepuertorico.com/
which is where http://www.cambioenclave.com/ does their salsa lessons?

Looks like that is where they conduct the classes yes, which is located at 500 Ave Arterial B Hato Rey, PR 00918

But call the group and make arrangement for a class, they could change location from time to time.
They should be able to tell you how to get to the place.

PS The next Lottery # is?

Keeping the lottery number for myself, I need the money. :D

They used to have some pretty good bands and lots of people in the San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde I think on Friday nights in the main downstairs bar area.  Not sure if they still do that.  I also remember occasionally they had salsa on weekends in the Marriott in Condado.  I am sure there are plenty of local places too, but am not familiar with them.

MikeMA,

If you want to do some salsa dancing come over to my apartment on Norzagaragy. There's an open lot at the corner (at Las Palmas) where everybody salsas every night to recorded music during the weekdays and live music on weekends.

Some bars / restaurants in Old San Juan offer classes for free during weekends.
