Hello, Im from Portugal and I'll be leaving and working in Saudia.
Since I know very little about how Saudi banks work I have a few questions?
Is it better to have a bank that's also European?
Each bNk has their own atm and we pay taxes if we withdraw in a different one?
Is there any bank that has better taxes to send money back home, and low commissions?
Is there any bank that you advise? Why?
Thanks for the help, I'm a little bit lost here =)

Hello,

More or less all banks are the same with respecet to services they provide, but western expats usually prefer SAAB (HSBC) and SAMBA (Citigroup). That doesn’t mean others aren’t worth it. As of today you can withdraw cash from any of the ATM/cash machine and there’s no additional costs involved in it. You will have to get the resident permit (IQAMA) before you can open your bank account. Hope that answers your queries !!

Cheers :)
