How do you attach images/pictures from computer desktop to posts?

I wonder if you can post them from Google photo; no you can't ..... this is frustrating.

Perhaps something like Photobucket?

You can not attach (i.e. upload) images directly to posts, only link to them.

But you can upload expat relevant images at this web site, and then in a very circuitous manner link to them in a post:

1) Go to the main menu here, under "Community", then "Pictures"
2) Click "Add Picture"
3) The picture may need to be approved. When it is, and then available for viewing, click on the photo to show it, then "right click" (press and hold in tablets), and select the option to "copy image url". Then you can use that URL in a post.

My photos - just my paintings that I wanted to show to some friends on this site - were NOT approved...  Have no idea why. 

They are images of acrylic paintings of David Bowie, Marilyn Monroe, couple of landscapes, and a parrot.  I paint very large canvases - just started painting last year, but had three exhibits here in Sydney and people buy my works (even though I do not promote them for sale - they track me down)...  Received expat messages for each image that they did not meet the expat.com standards - whatever that means...  If you would like to see them, here is a link, but you have to sign in to Facebook:

How do you know that?

They should say that when one is trying to upload the photos...  I spent time on titling and explaining each (six in all) just to be rejected...  Bummer!

On my computer when I clicked on " + Add pictures " a list pops-up:

profile pictures (if you want to add a profile picture, please click here)

pictures on which people are recognizable or which would not respect privacy
logos

pictures you do not own

pictures with no apparent link with the selected country or life abroad.

pictures with size over 10 MB

I guess that fact that I painted the canvases in Sydney, Australia, did not qualify as a "link" to the selected country or life abroad."

You can post pictures using Facebook

Right click on the picture, copy the image address and paste.

Test; interesting, wonder why it doesn't work from other sources.  By the way, this is my daughters dog.

Hmmm....  Just tried it; it does not work for me.  Maybe because I am on a laptop and don't use a mouse.  Will buy a mouse and try later...

Actually; could I ask you a favor?  Since you were able to copy/past my profile image and you are obviously on Facebook, could you go into my photos and copy my "Parrot" painting and paste it here?  It is the first one in that section...  I just finished painting it...  I might be pushing it here, but it you don't mind scrolling down the page to my David Bowie painting with purple background and copy/paste that as well, I would be grateful!  I have been trying to show that one to a friend here on expat but could not figure out a way to attach it to a post.  It would be great if you could post those two here!

I found the same thing, but when I actually clicked on the photo, so seeing it through a viewer as opposed to a web view, it did work.

Some photos are not able to view due to privacy settings, so sorry I am unable to post the David Bowie picture.
