Dear Expat Members,

Is there a way to validate authenticity of employer ?
My friend received a job offer and wants to check the Employer authenticity before accepting the offer?

phipiemar

Just need to be logic...

Go on a search website and write name and address of potential employers. And after call them...

Check also the way who is written mail address...

Thanks Phipiemar ,
Its easy these days to have personal websites with custom domain email address. So verifying those won't really help !!

Any ways to verify employer authenticity in government website ?

Of course, there are some. But with the paranoia you develop in your answer, you will not believe it anymore ...

You know that the world existed before the internet ... At that time, people had a reasoning called human contact. They phoned among other things. And they do not assume that computer and Google are omniscient

Let's not misunderstand the process of verifying details of an employer by framing it as "Paranoia".
It's needed to verify sometimes when the company has limited presence in world or the local citizen are also not aware of such a company.

I think you are also aware of the fact that companies do background verification of employees based on their experiences . It's their job , we can't simply call it as "Paranoia".
In the similar way an employee can also try to verify about the employer , whats wrong in that ?

I would use website, verifying physical address (if they claim to have an office in Brussels, go and visit - of course from outside :) ), linkedin is a good resource - check for current employees, previous employees, reviews.

So, which is this mystery employer :) May be we can throw some light too. hehe..

Thanks Aneesh and Sorry can't share the company name here [ hope you understand :) ]

Man, looks like a secret mission :) LOL, good luck for your friend. Hope everything will work out well.

I would verify it with this tool..

If their profits are public, they will be here (you can search by name or TVA number):
