Hi all
We will be moving for a period of 5-6 months to Mauritius on a tourist visa. I understand we need to extend the visa after 90 days.
But my question is if the total of 180 days is per calendar year or from the date of entry?

The clock starts at zero on January 1st.

It starts at zero in January if you left the country before that. Else if your stay is a continued one, starting before 1 January then it is not reset on 1 Jan. You should be out before 1 January and re-enter to get the reset counter
