Permanent Residence Permit of Hungary

Hello Guys,

I am living in Hungary for the past 5 years and now will apply for Permanent Residence Permit in summer. I was working for a French company in the past but all my salary were coming to my Hungarian bank account. Since last year I am registered as a Freelancer in Hungary. I was out of Hungary for not more than 6 months in my entire 5 years of stay. How good is my chance of getting a permanent residence permit? Thank you, everyone.

Cheers,

Shankar

Good luck, really have no idea how they figure this out.
Might depend on many factors that only they know at immigration services.
Sounds good but you never know how they do things there.

Have you been paying taxes after that income in hungary?

No, My income was taxed in France so was not paying any taxes in Hungary on that income. My payment of tax started only from November 2017 in Hungary. I have my TAJ since the same time.

You were a tax resident in hungary, you probably should have payed taxes here. I suggest you double-check this with a tax specialist before you apply for PR.

Actually, I did it a few years ago and my accountant explained me in broken English about some double taxation treaty and also being taxed at one EU country cannot be taxed twice. Also, "the company" which employed me in France was not a normal company but a "Non-Profit organization" so the whole thing is pretty complicated to explain here but for sure there was no tax liability here. Besides this do you see my good chances of getting PR in Hungary?

Also is there any language requirement for even PR? My Hungarian is very basic and can understand a lot but not anywhere close to being an expert. Thank you so much!!

This page doesn't list the language as a requirement: http://www.bmbah.hu/index.php?option=co … mp;lang=en

Yes, I know this website but we never know what they will ask. Even in the past, they asked me for many documents which were not even mentioned in that list. I think it is better to get an Immigration lawyer. Anyways, Thank you so much!!
