Any expérience in hungary for the moment

I'm a médical doctor and I would be useful to hungary...

Welcome to the Forum :)

You would need to know the local language which is Hungarian. Do you speak it?

I think you have opportunity.

If you graduated in the EU, then you could just about work anywhere.

Otherwise you'd need to get your qualifications verified or do some more training.

You should say more about what you want to do, specialism, interests etc.

Her profile says she learnt and practices in Cameroon and would like to move to Hungary, she also speaks French.

I doubt that'll be very useful in Hungary.  She might be better off aiming for a job elsewhere like France, Belgium or Luxembourg where the language is less likely to be an issue.

UK is very short of medics but they have to go through a training course to bring them to EU standards.

At one point, doctors from the Philippines couldn't get accredited in the UK and so were working as nurses instead.

There is a larger need for doctors out in the countryside in Hungary.
Without speaking Hungarian it is going to be very hard to communicate with Hungarians.
Hard to build their trust if you can't communicate etc.
Not to be racist but also being a women of color from a country that most locals have little knowledge of is going to be a extra challenge over here.
ATM there is a slight anti- immigrant  sentiment over here.
I am white and half Slavic and part German and all is fine with me in the city but sometimes as soon as I speak I get a totally different attitude towards me. Not always bad but a change in the way I am treated, even if just slightly different it doesn't make one feel very much at home.
France would be a better fit for you. They have a longer history of taking in outsiders then Hungary does.
There is a real fear in many people here that their country is being invaded by non Europeans.
Just a bit of truth, good luck.

I realized my post may of seemed harsh, not meant to be.
In fact the doctor who saved my mother's life, or at least prolonged it another 12 years, was a black man from the Islands.
Just saying, you may be ready for Hungary but maybe Hungary isn't quite
ready for you, yet.
There are many places that would value a experienced doctor,no need to stress yourself by being around people who aren't ready for your skills just now.
Have a black friend here in Hungary who is American who mentioned that a Polish electrician who was working on her apt. said that the Hungarians didn't even like him working in Hungary, odd not sure why not.
There is allot of political things going on here with elections etc. which have some people confused and not acting their best.

To further expand on what MT says.

First off she is NOT a racist she is a very very very very kind person!

Hungary is economically not doing well and they tend to have issues with people they view have a better ability to make money than themselves.  So in t his regard this will be an issue.

That i will say will be your biggest issue. I have talked to a Polish guy that had to come and fix someone on our flat and he told us of how awful he is treated. The locals he said treated him very badly. But the locals cut a wire which was the cable that feed the internet, tv cable and land line into our unit, and they were too stupid to fix it. The Polish guy was more skilled and knew a lot more so he was the person that was able to fix this. It was sad how he told us he was treated and we saw directly how the workers were treating him. We do not understand what was being said but it was clear.

One thing i will i say is Hungary is not a super racist country but they use racism to cover other issues.

I have known many Germans and Norwegians blonde hair very pale that have been to Budapest and had many rude things said to them. So it is not really just a color thing. It is more a you are not a Hungarian thing.

Which i do find this type of attitude odd as there are many Hungarians in other countries, and i am sure they would not be happy if they were treated mean in other places.

For sure, it's a very weird behaviour and it'll get worse as the hysteria increases because of the national elections in a few weeks. The current scapegoats are immigrants or worse refugees.  Previously it's been the judiciary, Soros etc and further back for some other rather notable groups.

It's last week's news but worth noting the current state of "debate" here by seeing the "Vienna video" made by Janos Lazar  - click here: Infamous Vienna Video

Yup, it's that dumb and that much fake news around.

Moreover, you can see this other video (some parts are in English and in German) as well which acts as a counterbalance: 24.hu - checking on Lazar's views in Vienna

Obviously hard to argue with proper journalism.

If you don't know who the Lazar guy is, just Google.
